How does Pedigree® Joint Care+ benefit my dog?

Each treat contains our CPA Complex+™, a unique blend of active ingredients designed to help ease joint stiffness.

What is the CPA Complex+™?

A blend of unique natural active ingredients that include Glucosamine, Omega 3, and Green Lipped Mussel Powder together with added Methionine. To find out more, click here.

How will I know if my dog is experiencing joint stiffness?

One of the most obvious signs will be if he is slow to get up, or sometimes falls behind on your walks together.

Can I feed this treat to a puppy?

Pedigree® Joint Care+ is intended for adult and senior dogs who are already experiencing joint stiffness but, if your puppy eats one by mistake, it won’t do him any harm.

How often should I feed my dog?

Feed him one delicious treat every day.

What if I miss a day?

Don’t worry. Just feed him the next stick on the following day. You don’t need to feed him two sticks in one day to make up for the missed treat.

Will my dog put on weight eating Pedigree® Joint Care+?

Feeding one treat a day should not have an impact on his weight. Some dogs might actually lose weight because with improved mobility they could start to exercise more again.

My dog has eaten Pedigree® Joint Care+ but doesn’t have a joint problem. Is it bad for him?

The product is perfectly safe for any dog to eat.

Can my dog eat this treat if he is also taking medicine?

There are no problems mixing this product with your dog’s usual medicines from the vet. If your dog already takes supplements with similar ingredients, you may want to think about reducing or stopping them.

How long before I could see a difference in my dog?

If your dog is suffering from joint stiffness and you feed him Pedigree® Joint Care+ treats, you could see a difference within six weeks.

My dog became more mobile and active but has started to slow down again. Why is this?

As with humans, too much exercise can cause stiffness or a bit of creaking the next morning. Some owners can overdo exercise once they see a difference in their dog’s mobility. It’s important to remember that your dog should increase his exercise gradually as his joint stiffness eases.

Can my dog overdose by eating more than one stick a day?

No. Pedigree® Joint Care+ is quite safe for your dog. He won’t suffer any ill effects if he manages to eat a few too many. Our special packs make it easy to know when your dog has had his daily treat, so you’ll know you’re not giving him more than he needs.

What does this product contain?

It contains naturally occurring ingredients, added Methionine plus vitamins, minerals and amino acids.

What happens if I stop feeding him his Pedigree® Joint Care+ treats?

If you stop, your dog will gradually go back to the way he was before you started using Pedigree® Joint Care+. If you notice this happening, start feeding him the treats again to help ease his joint stiffness.

What’s happened to the Pedigree® Joint Care+ Regular Strength product?

The Pedigree® Joint Care+ Regular Strength product contained half the active ingredients then the Maximum Strength product and was designed to help maintain healthy joints rather than helping to ease existing joint stiffness. We discovered, however, that some dog owners were feeding it to dogs with existing joint stiffness and could therefore be disappointed not to see a difference in their dog’s mobility. To avoid any confusion, we therefore decided to withdraw the product for the time being. If you have been feeding Pedigree Joint Care Regular Strength and want to continue, why not try feeding Pedigree® Joint Care+ Maximum Strength to your dog every other day instead.
